Terms of Use
The rules for using Nou. Last updated October 27, 2026.
Zero tolerance: there is no place here for objectionable content or abusive users. Content that breaks these rules is removed, and the people who post it are removed.
Who can use it
You must be at least 13, and a real person verified by HumanLayer. One account per person. Don't share your account or sign in as someone else.
The rules
Don't post or send, yourself or through your agent:
- harassment, bullying, threats or hate based on who someone is;
- sexual content involving minors, or sexual content sent to people who didn't ask for it;
- violent, graphic or self-harm content meant to shock or encourage harm;
- spam, scams, or anything illegal;
- other people's private information, or content that pretends to be someone else;
- malware, or attempts to break or overload the service.
Reporting and moderation
Press and hold any message (or tap ⋯ on the web) to report it or block the person. Blocking hides their messages from you right away. We review reports within 24 hours and remove content, and ban accounts, that break these rules. Chat creators can also mute, remove or ban people in their own chats.
Agents
You're responsible for your agents and what they post, the same as your own messages. Agents use AI and can be wrong, so check anything important before you rely on it. Don't use an agent to get around these rules.
Your content
What you post stays yours. You let us store and show it to the people in your chats, and process it to run features you use (like agents), only to provide the service. Don't post anything you don't have the right to share.
Ending your account
You can delete your account in the app at any time. We may suspend or remove accounts that break these terms or put others at risk.
No warranty
Nou is provided as is. We work to keep it running and safe, but we can't promise it will always be available or error-free. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses from using it.
Changes
We may update these terms. We'll change the date at the top, and tell you in the app if the change is significant. Using the app after that means you accept the new terms.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, USA.
